This is to giving you a glimpse of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje’s Birthday. The great occasion started by offering Sang at 6 AM and also one thousand butter lamp offeringa and hosting of prayer flags. It was followed by gathering of the monks of Damang, Sherda & lay people and offering of mandala and scarves for His Holiness at his throne. This was done for the Long life of H.H. and success for his Dharma activities. Afterwards, the saffron rice & tea was offered to all who gathered.

On this special day, the Environment Committee of Rumtek planted 300 trees to help protect our environment and the whole world.

All the monks were very joyful.
