Seven months after the launch of the forestation project at Gaya Airport, Tergar Monastery has begun planting the majority of tree saplings in partnership with the Gaya Airport Authority in the allocated area. We hope that this brings pleasure to everyone who uses the airport for their pilgrimage to the holy land of Bodh Gaya.
This project was initially launched in December 2009 however, the month of July is the best time to actually plant trees in this landscape and so we have waited until now to plant the rest of the tree saplings.
The ten symbolic tree saplings are all flourishing.
Here is the Ashoka sapling planted by His Holiness. May it grow to provide shade and comfort to all that approach it!

I am very happy that trees are growing well in Gaya airport which HH Karmapa and others had planted. I may visite the Airport of Gaya some days to see the plant that HH Karmapa planted.
