Following the 1st Conference for Environmental Protection, Ven. Dy. General Secretary, K. Chungyalpa, Khenpo Kalsang, Chotrim Woser Jungney & ECC member, Tashi gave a talk to the Students of Thumi Sambhota School, Gangtok in order to motivate them to protect the environment. Rumtek donated Use Me garbage bins and issued the Environment Guidelines booklet.

On behalf of Environment Association, Coordinator Gyaltsen Sonam takes Use Me waste bins to Sir Thutop Namgyal Hospital, as well as environment guidelines booklets to distribute to share awareness.

Each of the monks of Rumtek & Institute is involved in planting trees on the auspicious occasion of H.H. the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa’s 25th Birthday.

With the blessing of His Holiness the Karmapa and with the efforts of the Environment Protectors in different corners of this world, it is heart warming to feel everyone is now becoming more aware of the problems of the Mother Earth on which we live in and, remembering its gratitude, some activities are initiated by E. Protectors in this regard.
It is also very happy to know, the people of Rumtek Dharma Chakra centre, the Seat of His Holiness too, everyone; from the top to the bottom and all monks and lay community members, are not lagging in the activities of Environment Protection. Keep it up!
