All suffering is connected to eachother and if we start by ending the suffering of mother earth and learn to nurture her, all sentinent beings will benefit as their suffering will decrease also. The earth provides to us as a mother does. Treating her with respect and appreciation should be natural.
Therefore, My prayer is that His Holiness Karmapa’s Vision of harmony between people and the environment be fulfilled.

My prayer is that the monasteries will work practically with their local communities to improve environmental protection in the community. But I do think the monastic community setting a better example is a very good start. Also that the stated aspiration of KHORYUG to work with local NGOs bears fruit. If this is being done I haven’t been able to find details on the website.
I wish that this world is enveloped in universal peace & harmony.

may we the tibetan volunteers for animals (TVA) new york, be able bring change within our own community. we are a small vegetarian team that works towards protecting animals by fighting for their rights. according to “meat the truth” a documentary movie , meat is the number factor that contributes to global warming. therefore, we believe that it is important to save the animals and protect the environment and make this world a better place to live in for the future generations.
